If you have blonde hair or kids we share a common enemy…….chlorine.
How many glorious Bali holidays have turned those precious blonde locks green? Or those kids swimming lessons turning hair into sludge? Gross gross gross!
So with summer fast approaching i thought it was long overdue i share my favourite secret trick to getting chlorine out of your hair and nope it’s not an expensive fancy product, in fact we don’t even sell this.
It’s Bi-Carb Soda. Yep, that is it, Bi-Carb Soda, i shit you not. You just add it into your shampoo for an extra cleanse & for extreme chlorine build up; shampoo a couple of times and leave in the hair for 5 mins.
Will this damage your hair?
Look i think its safe to say if you do this all the time your hair is not going to be feeling too great so like everything, do in moderation & back it up with a moisture treatment.
What’s A cleansing shampoo?
This we do sell.
You can add Bi-Carb to any shampoo and it should do the job but for best results use a cleansing shampoo & use this shampoo to maintain the chlorine build up in between Bi-Carb doses.
I recommend Wella Balance Pure Purifying Shampoo; Deep-cleansing shampoo that removes product buildup, residual impurities, and pollutants to leave hair prepared for deep hydration. We sell this for $21.90.
If you know any other tricks to getting chlorine out of the hair I’d love to hear it?
